About

The food and drink at Sour Duck Market are inspired by local farmers and purveyors. Meats are smoked daily in a 1,000-gallon pit smoker, the flour for baked goods is milled locally and cocktails are made with the freshest juice and product. We believe in showing true craftsmanship in cooking by serving good, local food, made the way nature intended—from scratch.

“Opened in 2018, Sour Duck Market was born out of a need for growth for the Odd Duck and Barley Swine team. While in the utilitarian sense, it essentially serves as a mega-large commissary kitchen serving its sibling counterparts, it’s housed in an inviting and beautiful restaurant. This allows everyone to dive deeper into all the programs they have in-house: bread, smoked meats, cocktails.” —Nadia Chaudhury, Eater Austin
